Alwena is a keen amateur musician who enjoys the piano. She is accompanist to the Montgomeryshire Festival Choir, and is a Church Organist in the area. She particularly enjoys the solo accompaniment that she undertakes at local Eisteddfodau and with young musicians preparing for examinations.
A farmers wife, Alwena lives at Aberhafesp near Newtown. and has four children and five grandchildren. Trained as a Nurse and Midwife she now works as Deputy Registrar at Newtown.
Alwena became our accompanist in 1999.
