Ann grew up near Corwen and was educated at Ysgol y Berwyn in Bala. She went on to gain her degree at the University of Wales (B.Ed Hons).
After graduating, Ann started a teaching career but her fine Mezzo Soprano voice won her a scholarship to study singing at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Since finishing her studies at the Royal Academy Ann has performed with many of Britain's leading Opera Companies both at home and abroad.In addition to her busy singing career, she is the Artistic Director of the North Wales International Music Festival, the St.Asaph City of Music Initiative and Côr Meibion Bro Glyndwr.
Ann was appointed Conductor of the Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir in March 2002 and left us at the end of December 2009 to resume her singing career.
