Fremantle Home Entertainment have produced a DVD "Voices of the Valley - Live" filmed at the stunning "St Jude on the Hill" in London's Hampstead Garden Suburb during the 2008 "Proms at St Jude" and is a performance that characterises the "Fron Choir's" male voices in full song.
The DVD features 23 songs given the "Fron" treatment, including renditions of much loved songs such as "You Raise Me Up", "Unchained Melody", "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Can't Help Falling In Love" as well as other songs featured on our albums "Voices of the Valley" and "Voices of the Valley - Encore". Also on the DVD are traditional Welsh songs that have been the mainstay of our concert performances over the years.
This DVD also features the mezzo-soprano voice of Ann Atkinson, our Conductor. Ann is the soloist on songs that include "World In Union" and "Panis Angelicus" as well as three more solo performances as DVD extras.
A further highlight of the DVD is an intimate documentary following the choristers as they prepare for the concert together with interviews on home ground in the Vale of Llangollen.
