Choir Members Take on 100mph Zipline Challenge for Children’s Charity

Members of Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir are preparing to swap the stage for the sky as they take on a 100mph zipline challenge to raise funds for a life-changing children’s charity.
On 9 May, a group of choristers will travel to Penrhyn Quarry to ride the Velocity Zipline, one of the fastest ziplines in the world, reaching speeds of up to 100mph.
The challenge is being undertaken in support of The Movement Centre, which helps children with movement disabilities gain independence through specialist Targeted Training therapy.
For nearly 30 years the charity has supported children to develop essential motor skills - from holding their head up, to sitting, standing, and in some cases taking their very first steps.
The choir has set a fundraising target of £4,000 but want to exceed that, with all proceeds going directly towards supporting the charity’s work, which relies entirely on donations.
Among those taking part are Mark Walmsley, Simon Atkinson, Roger Williams, Gordon Urquhart, Ray Jones, Ken Benbow, Rob Edwards, Gareth Edwards, Graham Kendall and Paul Healey.
Please support us and give what you can right now - your support means real change for a child.
